1 cup kale, de-stemmed

1 cup basil leaves

1/2 cup walnuts or raw sunflower seeds

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

1/4 cup nutritional yeast (to replace parmesan)

1/2 cup hemp seeds (aka hemp hearts)

1 tbsp. lemon zest (use organic)

1 tsp lemon juice

Sea Salt and pepper to taste

Steam kale and let it cool and drain. Add garlic, walnuts or sunflower seeds to a food processor and blend. Add in kale, basil, olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, hemp seeds and nutritional yeast and blend. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve with veggies, rice crackers, in lettuce wraps or with a gluten free pasta.
